Become An Instructor

Why Become an Ski Instructor?

  • It’s a very rewarding job helping new skiers achieve their goals - especially if you are passionate about skiing.

  • It’s a talented team to be a part of, with new skiing buddies and lots of snow skiing opportunities.

  • Many of our instructors go on to teach in Europe and the States, some manage the odd week teaching in the Alps with schools and clubs.

Gloucester Ski & Snowboard Centre is a Development Centre for ski racing and instructor training. The Centre operates the Snowsport England Coach Awards Scheme. There is a structured training programme, usually starting in May and running every Wednesday evening through the summer.

Training is open to skiers at or beyond basic parallel standards and is beneficial to instructors who wish to teach at their local Centre or on snow. If you want to teach specifically on snow also contact the British Association of Snow sports instructors.

Call the centre on 01452 501438 and ask to speak to Sue Dermody, or email skischool@gloucesterski.com for more information, or an application form.
